The gentle Manokwari takes its name from a small Indonesian town, nestled in a bay, and surrounded by distant mountains. Like the Sorong, the Manokwari hails from the far Western region of Papua and thus exhibits many of the same characterisitics of the Sorong. Manokwaris become light green adults highlighted with beautiful blue dorsal markings. Yellow clusters of speckles on adults are also not uncommon. Babies can be both red and yellow and like Sorongs, Manokwaris are extremely gentle, even at neonatal age! If you want a beautiful chondro that you can feel confident handling, the Manokwari is for you!
